Sometimes when you visit certain places – place of sentiment values – you see ghosts right there in front of you, of people you loved, except they are not ghosts, they are your real memories from the past, and they make you sad because they are forever gone.

The Breakfast at Tiffany’s star graced the Bond Street crowd with her presence, to switch on the festive lights. She looked every bit as elegant and radiant in person as we have seen in all those newspaper and magazine columns recently. In fact much more so.

It’s that time of the year again when London shows its Christmas magic by illuminating some of its best known streets with Christmas lights. I attended the launch on Oxford Street which was carried out by Hollywood star Jim Carrey. Just a few yards away, Regent Street also found itself adorned with Christmas lights of its – switched on by ladies’ favourites, Colin Firth.

This TV advertisement is a little old but I still love seeing it whenever it is transmitted across the airwaves. I have always had a thing for the women of Virgin Atlantic right from the days when I was a mid-teen. There is something about the cut of their uniform, and of course the red colour. Very hot. Plus I am a Richard Branson fan. Don’t like the unpatriotic British Airways – it’s Virgin all the way for me.

My favourite part is where the little girl runs after them, as if wanting to be one of them and the Brunette Virgin Atlantic lady looks back (at 59 seconds into the video), waving at her. Makes me smile every time. :)
