To think it has been serving customers since 1909 - before the world wars and even much before my own parents were born. So I made some videos showing you the store’s new look marking the memorable event. In true Selfridges fashion, famous for its distinctive yellow carrier bags, they have adorned the store using the same colour inside inside.

do so many people bid on an eBay auction when there are many good days left to go?
Someone? Anyone? Even a “meow” answer from a cat shall suffice.

Once in a while I buy something from there. Bidding early only serves to push up the price. I do not understand the mentality of those bidders. Although this is nothing new as it is a question I have pondered for many good years and am at total loss to figuring it out. I really want to put on a fake white labatory coat, gather all those people together and experiment on them to unravel the mysterious puzzle. Oh yes.

Any volunteers? I have some free chocolates!

I made this earlier in the month, weighing over whether I should being posting random videos made by none other than myself. So here is something very random.

Okay, here is something random. :] I have never posted my own video online before so perhaps it is a new trend I will continue in 2009. This is from a dance class I took at a nightclub in Leicester Square a few weeks ago. I made this footage while taking time out in between dancing and sipping my cocktail.

Brendan Cole (mostly known for his appearances on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’) was also there, kind enough to give us some lessons. I shook hands with him and for a while it was just him and me on stage standing together. He was a real gentleman - much nicer than how he is portrayed on television. There was also a group photo of the boys where I was standing next to Brendan for a press shoot (and was politely asked to unbutton my blazer buttons by the photographer) but I do not know what happened to those photos. Too bad as I would really like to find out how they look.

I am still pondering over whether to post more videos in 2009 but we will see.

If there is one excellent example of a song and video being harmonious, it is the Lacoste advertisement above. It is so beautifully produced. The song has that really cutesy and angelic feel to it and perfectly complements the woman in the video, with her innocent, child-like behaviour.

Brings a smile to my face every time I see it. :)

Having heard so much about the Black Friday sales in the USA (we do not celebrate Thanksgiving in the UK) and seen many videos, the annual ritual of getting up at the crack of dawn for some bargain hunting sounds quite exciting. In fact I am envious. The closest thing we have to our American cousins in the UK is the Boxing Day sales (the day after Christmas Day).

In any case, taking in mind the chaotic scenes that emerges on the day I would personally never go without wearing a full protective gear like this:

The annual Bond Street Christmas Extravaganza took place a few hours ago in London and was every bit as fun as it always is. Kelly Brook fired on the lights and there was so much to see and do, for people of all ages whether you are young, old, child or somewhere in between. Fireworks, a carnival style atmosphere, reindeers, champagne, cider, mince pies, chocolates, Father Christmas (Santa), bands and street performers lasting hours.
